Shui-yuan Market

This year marks the release of my second electronic music album, “SHUI YUAN MARKET.” I am grateful for the invitation from Treasure Hill to participate in the 2025 Alley Art Festival. This is my second attempt to combine both visual and musical creation across multiple spaces, including illustration installations on the east, west, south, and north sides of Shui Yuan Market, as well as an album that can be experienced on-site and online.

I hope this work will lead the audience to discover the beauty of art everywhere in daily life, and at the same time reflect the idea that life itself is the greatest artwork. Compared with my first album, “Project Rebirth,” which was a completely improvised ambient style, this new release blends 120 BPM dance beats with electric atmospheres, composing a youthful and romantic soundscape of the Gongguan area. Sometimes it observes people riding scooters on the slope behind Shui Yuan Market from a third-person view, and sometimes it shifts into the first-person perspective of encountering someone here in the past.

During production, I focused on building the sense of space between mind and scene. The distorted lo-fi vocals, the sudden fade of piercing sounds, and the full midrange tones ensure that even with Apple original wired EarPods, listeners can easily enjoy the electrified image of Shui Yuan Market.
