LAB APW NUK Y1 TM3+4
The background and discourse of the Lab Any-project-whatever are built upon Ting-jia Zhang’s 2017 book, Any-object-whatever.
Day after day, we experience the networks of material flows connected by various "ready-mades" in the city. As perceivers entering a site, we experience the immediate environmental and spatial information of the event—engaging in judgment, perception, criticism, creation, and reflection.
For contemporary creators, the work goes beyond handling traditional issues of material geometry and visuals; it involves dynamic participation in every second of life. It requires weighing trade-offs in response to unexpected situations. We face users, clients, designers, and manufacturers in a "decentralized" manner to confront the most authentic challenges within each project.
Carrying the spirit elucidated in Any-object-whatever, the Lab Any-project-whatever not only manages "Any-projects" through projects but also continues to explore the boundaries of cross-disciplinary learning through teaching, creation, research, and construction.
