This project is located in Anping, Tainan, within a "duplex" unit of a mixed-use office and residential building. The vertical space brings more layers and possibilities to the design. We reorganized the spatial order within the existing structure to present a clear and pure design language under the mixed functions.

To create a minimalist and sharp office atmosphere, the overall space uses cool silver metal panels as the main visual element. Through simple and precise proportions, we established a sense of rational order. The reflection and shine of the metal material allow the space to keep subtle changes on a cool base, avoiding a boring feeling from using only one material.

To deal with the original dark indoor conditions, we placed many foliage plants in the space. The natural green balances the pressure from the gray tones. At the same time, we used a plant light system to solve the maintenance problems caused by the lack of natural light. Plants are not just decorations; they become an important medium to adjust the light environment and psychological feelings, adding life to the rational office space.

Regarding the design strategy, we operated architectural elements with the simplest spatial actions. We combined, divided, separated, and used different colors for beams, columns, and slabs. This makes the structure itself part of the visual composition. Through limited and conscious changes, we maintain a stable and controlled style while avoiding a dull look, reaching a balance between order and dynamics.
