This project is a private residence design in a high-rise building. The owner expects the overall space to be simple and elegant. By using the texture and layers of artistic paint, we create a quiet, stable, and delicate living atmosphere. Therefore, in terms of spatial style, we intentionally avoid too much decoration and complex shapes. We let the materials become the main part of the design, allowing daily life to return to purity and peace.
Regarding the spatial structure, we use large curved ceiling panels as the main design element. Through the extension of these curves, we reduce the heavy feeling caused by traditional beams. This makes sight and light flow more freely in the space, improving the sense of being protected and comfortable. The curved surface is not just a style choice but also a psychological adjustment, letting residents feel relaxed and calm within the structure.
On the functional level, we integrate a smart home system. The owner can set the light color and brightness according to different life situations. For example, in the early morning before sunrise, the indoor light can increase slowly to follow the natural sunrise rhythm, making daily life smoother. The use of technology is not for show, but to improve the rhythm of life and the comfort of the experience.
For storage and display, we designed clean and simple glass cabinets. These meet the needs for display through transparency and lightness while keeping the space pure. Considering the owner’s background as an engineer, they are very sensitive to order and logic. Therefore, we used many soft-edge designs in the details to reduce visual tension and the pressure from sharp angles. This ensures the overall space stays warm and balanced within a logical framework.
